Semi-Cell-Shaded Skyrim Graphics

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 5:04 am

Someone has figured out that if the right tweaks are made and the game is played without textures, the game doesn't look that bad. Many compare the look to Team Fortress Two. A video was posted on Youtube.

What do you guys think? I actually kind of like it. It reminds me of The Wind Waker.

I realize some people won't like the look and might even "hate" it. That's OK, just don't be a [censored] about it.

Interesting, but not for The Elder Scrolls...

Any ideas on what settings need to be tweaked? I have a friend who would like to mess with it.

I've heard it's not too different from playing with normal graphics settings, actually.

interesting indeed
some things look better than others though
you can see the models weren't made with this in mind
like the outside enviroments look a bit bland
but in whiterun and inside locations everything looks pretty good

perhaps if you mod some of the models and landscapes to have a bit more definition (which they would normally get from textures) it could like quite nice indeed
that and some color corrections ofcourse

I like it in a funny kind of way

I bet there would be no lag. I'd take a lower resolution game, with less lag any day
