Companions level with you? : V

So after i called lydia for help (found her at level 7-8, and now I'm level 55), she got violated by a bandit... so... Do companions level up?

No, they are the level you are WHEN YOU FIRST FIND THEM, not even when they first become companions. I feel they should scale to about -5 your current level.

Is your Lydia still wearing her original steel armor?

well my lydia wearing full dragon plate armor with a deadric sword. so even though i found her at like level 10 and im level 40 now she can still hold her own.

Lydia is fine for me, I got her around lvl 10. Used her for about 10 levels, put her in my house for a bit. Got her to use again around lvl 45 and she was fine, taking 15 to 20 hits to drop her and she was doing good damage with her bow still, maybe a bug for some people, maybe not...

My experience is console, and I upgrade her weapons and armor.

Nope, she has Legendary Orc armour and a Legendary Dragonscale shield. She will have Deadric Armour when I next level up, then I will have all the smithing perks.
