Ps3 GOTY Vampire Glitch

Post » Sat Oct 10, 2009 1:32 pm

Dear Obsidian Team and Fellow Forum Users,
I have recently bought the Oblivion GOTY version for ps3 and i was really enjoying it. However at a certain time I became a vampire. I didn't think it would bother me badly. However I constantly have to feed or I die within 30 seconds and it gets very annoying. So I followed all the steps I need to complete the vampire cure quest. The final ingrideint was BloodGrass, so I went to an Oblivion gate and got it. When I came back to the witch the Blood Grass topic was still grayed out and she won't accept the blood grass. I went online and found out that this is a bug that hasn't been fixed yet because I have shivering Isles. I will need to buy an original copy of the game in order to cure myself. However I don't want to do that I think a simple update could fix this problem for many people. And I know Obsidian is very busy with other projects like New Vegas. I still think that you guys shouldn't give up on such great games like Oblivion. So if you could can you guys all beg them to bring a patch to stop this very frustrating bug? I've been trying but I can't get a contact of any one in Obsidian. Sorry if I'm reposting I just made an account of the forums and didn't want to spend time looking through forums to see if this was already a thread. So please I BEG you guys to please please please patch this game!!!! I really want to stop being a vampire and continue on with my game.
Thank You if you patch this game Obsidian it will truley mean a lot to me :)
Sincerely,
Eddie Sidorov

Just a note, Obsidian Entertainment are only developing the upcoming Fallout: New Vegas game. Bethesda made and published Fallout 3 and every Elder Scroll game, including Oblivion :)

And sorry to say, but Bethesda stated a few years ago that they are done with Oblivion. There will be no more official patches or content. I'm afraid you'll either need to use the buggy new-disk work around, stay as a vampire or start a new game :(
