Windows i7 Home Premium

Hi Have just bought a new system Windows 7 Home Premium with a HD5700 series ATI Radeon card.Thought I'd load up my old copy of Oblivian and give it another go.Speeds fine but on leaving the capital and having reached the lake the water effects are poor compared to my old Nvida card.Still my point is there's no fish ie the lake appears to be devoid of anything. If my memory serves me right by standing in the shallows you will get attacked by fish. This has started me thinking that my system is too new for such an old game.Would hate too progress further and kill that wonderfull memory of days gone by.Am I reading too quickly into this and seeing something thats not there?

Also, check your video game settings. Real possibility that the game recognized your card as an older Nvidia FX card... in which case, it will default to Low, or less......

I think the fish you're remembering are only spawned when a specific quest is running. Talk to the guy in/outside the cottage at Weye, and then they'll appear.
