Archer Tank Build

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 3:49 pm

Alright so far I've decided I want to be a bulky wood elf tank.. I've decided on using Sneak/Heavy-Armor/Archery/Alteration for even more defense.

- How does this sound so far, and ideas?

Well, a tank wouldn't sneak and sneak generally doesn't go well with heavy armour

How do you tank with a bow? Does not compute.

A "tank" means you can get hit and hit and still sustain more hits. Having a bow means you are trying to avoid getting hit at all. They don't go together.

The problem is sneak works too well when done right, you would rarely get a chance to use your armor

Since you can hit the armor limit with just the heavy armor sans shield (especially with smithing), there is no mechanical reason why you can't be a tank and use a bow. Sneak has a skill to reduce the problems with armor noise and there's always the muffle spell, so why not?
