World of Warcraft spoilered Skyrim for me

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 5:58 am

They created a comparison sheet that included info on specific information shared between WoW and Skyrim. Though I have never played WoW the intent of the message was effective and I was trolled.

Do not view anything that mentions these two games. I should have hybernated from the internet.

the only article that anyone should ever even klick on mentionning these two game would be titled: how awesome skyrim is and why world of warcraft has nothing to do with it...

Yes, that last one. I suspect that it is about

the final confrontation

When I think of a classic Borderlands comes to mind.
When it comes to game play it's hard to beat Dark Souls.
When it comes to atmosphere it's hard to beat Bioshock.
When there's a giant land scape well there's elder scrolls.

The very thought of WoW must've ruined your grammar.

I play both and it looks like fewer people in guild is online and skyrim is the main distraction, plays much less wow myself this days to.

I cancelled my WoW subscription to play Skyrim. I don't think I'll be going back any time soon, either. Skyrim is going to be holding my attention for a long, long time.

It's funny, I was, one time, looking around the ice along the northern coast, at night, with the aurorae going at full blast, and I started thinking, "...am I in Icecrown again?" <_< The fact that everything looks so much like Wrath of the Lich King is probably just because they both take heavily from the "northern Viking land" stereotype, though.

Haven′t read that article but yes I can too draw some similaritys between wow and Skyrim.
Mostly cause of the whole RPG thing :P

But then again nothing has really changed since the greek mytholigy.

Also after 6 years of being a fulltime player of wow I threw my towel in and thanked for the cofé.
That game has given me some freaking great times both solo and in social :)

I think that's one of the reasons why I love this game so much. Lich King was my favorite expansion for the same reason - I just love these Nordic settings.

MMORPGs are not ORPGs. There shouldnt be these kind of comparisons because both types of games use different ideas to keep their players for longer. One is a multiplayer focused experience, the other is a single player focused experience. Lets stop using World of Warcraft as the medium for comparing everything, its terrible as it is, there shouldnt be a place on the Elder Scrolls forums to describe MMORPGs unless the TES series develops an MMO.

Ah, you are not the only one to have seen that :( Luckily for me, I had forgotten all about it. Unluckily for me, you have created this thread, now reminding me of it. Thank you sir :(

I am just frightened that anyone considers Borderlands a classic. Real classic video games do not have more than pixel image graphics :)

Wow=good game. People/blizzard=aszholes. It's a shame really. But a really good game attracts some really awful people. I think blizzard themselves are just incredibly arrogant and obnoxious.

I met some really cool people in that game. I also ran into some of the most cruel obnoxious people i ever have in my life blizzard included.
