Hello Jasper,

Thanks for the reply, what im a little bit confused is that in Steam Store im able to by Fallout New Vegas in 5 languages!
Official Steam page!

Title: Fallout: New Vegas
Genre: Action, RPG
Developer: Obsidian Entertainment
Publisher: Bethesda Softworks
Release Date: 22 Oct 2010
Languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish

Thats now the question that comes to my mind, shouldnt exist an information warning this specific situation?

Thanks,
Sahdan

If so then just change the language. Steam->library->right click new vegas->language tab->english. It will download the language files.

I was under the impression you bought the game in Germany meaning you
have a German IP and that you bought it online from steam. Im not sure how the game will behave
if you buy a copy outside of Germany then try to play it in Germany. It might not allow you to play.
If you live in Germany now and have a German IP then check the store again. You should see a warning stating something like German low violence version German lauguage only.
Unless they have changed this and allow other languages though not to my knowledge. Correct me if im wrong.

Switching to english that way won't work. It just says "game is currently unavailable" if you try to start it up, and won't let you play until you switch it back to German.

I have the exact same problem. I can only play the game in german, but if I want to switch to english steam just tells me that the game is unavailable.
That's ridiculous.
The warning they gave implies that if I want to play in german I would only have the low violence version available,
but it doesn't make clear that I can ONLY play in german.
Right next to the warning it says that the available languages are english, spanish and so on...

Oh well, time to find a way around that...*sigh*
It's lame that I have to do something like that just to play a game I paid for.

The languages under the game details are more a general description of fallout new vegas I think.
I believe the game is german language only. Again please correct me if im wrong. Im looking at the steam store now with a german IP.
I agree that the ad is totally ambiguous. You should contact the steam store and see if they can shed some light. If you do, make sure
to point out the vagueness of the ad. If im wrong and there is a fix for this issue post that too.
