Something to point to when discussing Skyrim

I'm relief that I'm in a right age range to be playing Skyrim. :P (thought I'd see younger people lol)

I didnt vote for "Which format do you prefer for an RPG?" because both have a time and a place.

Oh and these two, for me, are the same thing

"To experience the game world. "
"To enjoy what the game presents"

Have played all the Tess games (I'm 73) and each one, at time of playing, was the best game ever. This still holds true for Skyrim.

my ideal level scaling would be a mix betwixt the two, level most of the world, but there should be some areas that are just no-gos and not just because there is a locked door until you progress to a certain point in a certain questline, im yet to find anything like this in skyrim.....

That's understandable. I made the poll to polarize the issues to try and get a clear consensus on some of the most contentiousness issues.

As your second issue, I think one has a broader range of factors than the other and are very different depending on your perspective.

"experience the game world"

Go see all the sights and dungeons.

"enjoy what the game presents"

this one is much more loaded and speaks to the reason people buy certain games. It speaks to the crowd that plays TES game for the unique experience an enjoyment. In other words to enjoy the game the developers presented for them. Knowing their are flaws but understanding it adds to the character of the game, what ever game it is. Playing the game for what it is, instead of what it could be.

I actually thought it'd be the number one pick.

Have played all the Tess games (I'm 73)

Is that a typo?

I hope I'll be playing games when I'm 73.

I like how the age selections on the poll only go as young as 18.

I can guarantee you that many of the baseless complaints about Skyrim are from people younger than 18.

It is interesting the age spectrum. Shows how TES uniquely is able to grab the attention of all age groups.

The age was an oversight......I added the option, but it will not reflect appropriately.

I really dont know how anyone can actually like this game. It is incredibly stupid. Like it was made for children....[censored] children.

I like how the majority prefers a scaled environment. It seems like skyrim is a mix between the two. On the one hand, you can find high level enemies when you're low level, and you can find low level enemies when you're high level. On the other hand, most of the world definately changes as you level up.

I wonder how so many people could be satisfied and happy with a "broken" game. :bolt:

I'm rather enjoying myself so far, but as long as Skyrim has a broken console UI I won't be "satisfied" with it so had to vote "No".

Seems new users are spamming the poll. Wish they had an option to show what people voted for.
