Ok, so I have been playing FNV since it came out for PC and never got into the mod scene for it. Which is odd because I generally jump headfirst into Bethesda's modding community to get patches and such for the game.
I guess what I am looking for is possibly graphics enhancements, maybe some patches, a little balance type of mod that allows for Energy Weapons to be practical (I can never find any of the fricking things or people that use them except the Bright guys.).
Any help or direction on this would be much appreciated.
Also just a note, I do have all the DLC for this game already.
Fallout New Vegas Nexus is the place to look for mods. I dunno about graphics enhancements since that's not my style, but "Project Nevada" features the expanded EW you're looking for and a host of other stuff. However, it isn't yet updated for GRA & LR.
"Delayed DLCs" does what the name suggest-integrates the DLCs more believably in the world.
"True Threshold-Closer to Fallout" eliminates DT bleedthrough(I approve).
"WMX" increases the scope of available weapon mods, to the point where every weapon(including Melee/Unarmed) has 3 mods. It also features compatibility patches for Project Nevada & the DLCs.
Other than that, you're going to have to search on your own.
The Fallout Mod Manager is essential for keeping track of all these mods. the New Vegas Script Extender(search for NVSE 2b12) is vital for most major mods to function.
To find any of these(minus the Script Extender) search for them on Fallout New Vegas nexus.
Who uses Energy Weapons: Fiends, Lobotomites, Y-17 Trauma Harnesses, BoS & the Van Graffs.
