Note: This mod is for users of MGE, the MGE version you are using must support video texture hooking, MGE XE will not work.

Well, these have been done for over a year now, but since I wanted to support all resolutions in the past, I never released it. Uploading large files was also an issue. That being said, this is not a full release, as it only includes support for one aspect ratio and contains none of the coloured versions of the menu.

To install this you must hook the menuloop video file to the texture "mw_menu" with MGE and to have a working intro you must convert it to a bink, which you will need bink and smaker and the code patch 2.0 for for HD support.

So, that's about it, enjoy! If I have time I'll try to get the rest of this out to you guys, but for now this is what you get!

Hello!

Tryed to use it, but failed.
1. I should convert only intro 16-10.avi into intro 16-10.bik? Where should I place it?
2. Should I have mw.menu.dds in my texture folder? I need only menuloop hook to texture?
3. HD support is and MCP option or I can just install MCP and apply default fixes?

Thanks!

1. Kay, Convert the intro 16-10 to bink, then rename it to "mw_logo.bik" (this is it IIRC) and put it in "data files/video". For it to not crash the game, you will need to enable HD cutscene support in the MCP 2.0.
2. Yes, make sure a file called "mw_menu.dds" is in your texture folder, it doesn't even have to be the real one. After that, put "menuloop 16-10" in your MGE Videos folder and using the MGEGUI go to texture hooks, and hook mw_menu to the menuloop file.
3. See #1.

That should be it.

Hopefully, Hrn reintroduces the hook textures function to XE. Would love to use this.

Holy crap that is amazing. Why in the world has this been kept secret?! You need to convert this to a ready to use format and put it up for download. It would go to the hall of fame in no time.

Can u please upload this to any other file sharing site the download from 2shared always stops when it is at 80-95% completed tried it more than 4 times.
btw that didnt stop me from trying the technique with some videos i had but must say the information about how to hook any texture is less for newbies but finally got a video to work:
To hook put the .avi in MGE videos folder then in generator put the file name with extension in texture path click on save and save it as menu_morrowind.dds in textures folder.
