Looking for more...

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 10:21 am

So I have KINGPIX's Sound and Graphics Overhaul installed and updated to 1.3 and it is brilliant so far. But now I'm looking to add a little bit more, but I'm curious as to what is compatible that can add what I'm looking for.

Basically I'm looking for more NPC's (I believe I've used Morrowind Comes Alive in the past, will this work with the Overhaul?), Children, and perhaps something that makes the NPC's do more than just aimlessly walk around 24/7.

Also, is there a mod that revamps the combat system to make it work similar to Oblivion's/Skyrim's system?

Thanks in advance,
Thumbtack Jake

EDIT: Also, what was the name of the mod that allowed you to join the Sixth House?

Morrowind comes alive (MCA) and StarFire's NPC additions comes to mind.

(Was it Starfire? This is off the top of my head...)

If u want to change default combat animations you may want to try out my mod Combat Redefined which in turn will also allow you to perform 9 moves with your weapon compared to default`s 3 though some animations may not please you coz they hav not been worked upon much.
Also you may want to try out Gratutious Violence by Wolvman for some improvements.

Link to Combat Redefined is in my signature while for Gratutious Violence search PES.

For Combat Redefined I wud recommend u install the Non Animkit version and if any problems in getting it to work occurs just PM me.

Living Cities of Vvardenfell

ThePal (who wrote the original Unofficial Morrowind Patch) once had a really fantastic looking project called Life to Morrowind. It aimed to make cities come to life and add realistic schedules to every single NPC, Ultima-style. LCV above had a similar goal, but Life to Morrowind looked like it was going to go even further. Sadly it was scrapped and never released. I think I read ThePal lost his work.

He damn near made an entire Ultima sequel/remake by himself with Morrowind, and is now working on an Ultima game in the Oblivion engine. He has routinely shown great skill and promise as an TES modder though he hasn't released much and probably isn't as well known as some other modders.
