not really an encounter but i found a dead body which had a trollban hammer with him (burn trolls 15pts on hit)

I found a giant standing at the edge of the hot springs, looking at his dead mammoth. I was able to walk right up to him without getting any reaction from him. I don't know if he was sad or just bugged.

I've seen that in exactly the same location, he didn't even look at me, just stood there looking at his dead mammoth.

Sounds like this is more of a scripted encounter that happens at a random time as opposed to a random encounter.

As it happens various times it is more like a random script event. Still pretty cool. Although people have also described one off events here as well.

Had plenty others as well such as a group of stormcloaks getting too near to a mammoth and their giants getting angry and launching the soldiers to the sky. I was watching from a snow.drift above and I kept seeing soldiers flying everywhere. Pretty funny.

ive had the thief chased by hunter encounter at least 17 times already that i just ended up either running towards the fugitive forcing the hunter to spot him and kill him while keeping the item or just plain out gave the thing back to the hunter because the item was so pathetically useless to me.

also whats with the kajiit liar guy? i see his ass everywhere, ive even fast traveled from a location where he was to the opposite side of the map and saw him there again, he has twins obviously, or kage bunshin no jutsu

The liar has been in all of the games since Morrowind.

Agree with the bandits posing as imperial soldiers.

"Hey, this road is closed. So uh, pay us 100 gold."

*My khajit stares at the naked, dead bodies behind them.*

I got conned. I thought they were real Imperial soldiers. :facepalm:

In my defense, it was dark at night. It impaired my vision, which in turn impaired my judgement.

Also saw this, That Giant is my best friend ^^, he does keep staring at me and breathing very creepily though. But he has killed so many enemies for me!
