Defend Whiterun + Storm Atronauch

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 6:32 am

Well I joined the Imperial Legion and got to the part of defending Whiterun. Well I failed at protecting the barricade. My Fire Rune trap idea didn't help very well. Then I got another chance to defend the Drawbridge. All I did was go up the wall and summon a storm atronauch down below. My storm atronauch killed all the Stormcloak soldiers, while I just sat back and watched my Storm Atronacuh go. It was hilarious and very cheap. I protected the Drawbridge by doing nothing.

Mages rule!

It was Stormcloak slaughter and I didn't even lift a finger. I had to lift a fist or two up when my Atronauch faded away, but he lasted for nearly the whole battle. I only needed to resummon him twice.

That's pretty awesome. I was surprised at how easily we held them back at the first barricade considering I play on master difficulty. I stayed a little ahead of it and tried to keep the attention of as many as possible while Mjoll and the imperials took care of the few that got by. Even though the quest line was short and pretty meaningless it was really fun storming the forts and taking Windhelm. Can't wait to try it on my mage I made yesterday.

I defeated them, and as they were running out of the gate played baseball with their faces. I love the Volendrung :D I had Lydia with me, but she disappeared after the first 2 Stormcloaks D:<

Xephyr the same thing happened to my friend when he did the quest line. His companion wasn't there for the defending Whiterun part or storming Windhelm. Lucky for me Mjoll stayed by my side the whole time. Maybe it's a bug and I got lucky?

Does the damage done by your conjured creatures increase your conjuration level? Never used it, just wondering.

Summoning them increases my conjuration level. The damage they do keeps you alive, and not get flashed mob like a Black Friday sale.

I just sat there beside the barricade in my Daedric armor, with Lydia in her Daedric armor beside me. I popped open a cold one, and DARED the Stormcloaks to come at me.

Needless to say, the giant I used as a bludgeoning weapon is still pissed at me.

Never bothered with storm atronachs or thralls. I always use 2 dremora lords, which I find to be superior. I took the left side of the conjuration tree as I don't use undead, so are storm thralls as powerful?
