No Sh-it, DLing my second Crysis 2 now, i guess you need to de-authorize or something first if you're gonna clear your hard drive and re-install the game.(i believe it can install three times without de-authorizing before it fails.)

I hope the de-authorize thingy works cause i zero my drive quite often, no worries i got the BFBC2 Specact DLC last night(very pleased with it), once Crysis 2 finishes DLing i'll get back to that.

Funny/lame thing for me is, almost every time I fire the game up it acts as though it hasnt been activated yet. It asks for cd key which thankfully is saved still, I click activate and it always says activation successfull. This has happened at least 50 times now, Does anybody else have this issue?

This is NOT the multiplayer re-enter cd key bug, its activation only.

OP, at least you should have contacted customer support or spent about 5 minutes on the EA site. Instead, you paid again (!) for this sh*tty game. OH. MY. GOD. You didn't have to. Is it easier for you to pay additional ￡20 than RTFM? The game can be installed and authorized on 5 machines at a time and it's doubtful you could waste all 5 authorizations because of a Windows crash or an HDD breakdown. The game also deauthorizes itself automatically during a normal uninstall. So, if you authorize and deauthorize your game correctly you have an UNLIMITED number of activations. Capish?

I can't believe it! Really? Then plough (a word from The Witcher 2, he-he) EA. In this case the simplest solution is just to get a cracked exe. I'd never pay for this pile of dung once more. And with all these harmful, buggy, and ridiculously moronic DRMs which cause trouble only for legitimate buyers (pirates don't care anyway), publishers do everything possible to increase piracy. This will be if you de-authorize first, i never de-authorized once and all i got was three activations(i'm pretty sure it was three i used), anyways no worries, i don't mind supporting these folks, Crysis 2 is the best FPS to date and it's only gonna get better.

Im not sure why this happens..never had a game that needs to be activated 90% of the time when launched. Maybe your right though....at least it doesnt seem to create any problems, so all is good.
