Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 10:15 am

Do non enchanted robes even exist in the game? I mean this type http://preorderskyrim.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/skyrim-town.jpg?w=600

They only seem to come with an enchantment but I dont have the 1500 to spare to buy them, I like the look of them though and dont care for the enchant.. anywhere I can buy them as normal clothes?

I don't think there are unenchanted mage robes like that in the game. There are unenchanted Novice Hoods, but as of yet I've seen no robes.

Are they level based? I can buy novice/apprentice at level 12 but no adept expert or master.

Yes, they are level based. I think based on any one of your magic levels actually, since I didn't start seeing Master Robes in any school until I got my destruction up to around level 75.

And yes, they're expensive. :P

You can steal unenchanted black and blue robes from houses, and you can kill monks to get unenchanted monk robes from temples. If you're into that.

You can buy unenchanted robes at "Radiant Raiments" in Solitude.

The ones on your screenshot would be "College Robes" if I remember correctly.

I've seen a few in dressers and wardrodes, I know theres one blue mages robes with no enchantments in the breezehome after you buy it, and theres a couple items called "hat" and one of them looks like a mages hood with nothing on it.

Novice is like light grey, as you know. Apprentice is light blue. Adept is a nice brown (looks like Jedi robes). Expert is the same color as apprentice but a different model. Master is what the trainers and sellers at the College of Winterhold wear.

The "mage robes" people are talking about are the cheesy blue and black ones you see on enemies. Nothing like the cool robes you get from the college.

there are tons of clothing types for all body parts, even tho I only found 2 or 3 difrent gloves, that you get either from random stuff, like homes, wardrobes, clothing shops etc.
easiest places to find em is on either bandit or necromancer lairs, or you can buy them from the clothing shop in Solitude.
blue robes black robes nove/apretince robes, fine clothes, clothes caps etc, all available, unenchanted robes are rarer tho.

No, see, http://images.wikia.com/elderscrolls/images/b/b5/Apprentice_Robes_of_Conjuration.png are not in the game unenchanted, and are not the same as the blue and black "mage robes".

steampunk is right, I mean those robes specifically, sure other robes are all over the place, but they dont look as good. Im not even a mage, just looking for a good ranger/woodsman look.
