I played Crysis 2 multiplayer in wake of the double-XP event. I had a good 6 matches stratght, quit and started again in-case I lose connection. Played another 4 and puff, LOST CONNECTION. DIsappointing since I lost 2 LEVELS I HAD WORKED HARD TO GET...

ANyways, that's not the point. Point is, even in 1 server, there are 4-5 hackers, some dormant in the beginning, some blasting straight from the start. If I raise a vocie, the FEDERATION OF HACKERS come down heavy on normal players like me.

THe good players who don't cheat usually max out around 2000 score, then there are 2-4 players who get about 3000-4500 scores. I see their kill-cam, invisibility, nanovision, max speed all the time, yet if I complain, they say it's KillCam Bug(then why does it happen only with the 3000+ pointers?)

WHat I want from CRYTEK:

1. I don't care now whether you are giving me DX11 or not, but please A TEXTURE PACK itself will keep me happy. I'm waiting for next patch with advanced options, cheers for that

2. Anti-cheat detection: We users have been facing the brunt of HACKERS AND SHAMELESS CHEATERS for 2 months now, could you PLEASE PLEASE implement such an anti-cheat which BANS players for 7 days immediately as soon as a CHEAT PROGRAM/HACK is detected? I think that is easily doable, the EA CORE SERVER just has to recognize/verify the Crysis 2/files or the program(I dont know what's used for cheating)

3. Mod tools please, and the ability to host our own servers. Please, unless you do this quick, it's sad to say you're killing your own game off.

Use the VOTEKICK OPTION for NOW, more ANTI-CHEAT measures will be in the NEXT PATCH. And btw, talking LIKE THIS is really irritating.

Cheaters are actually few and far between compared to what it was like the first month or so since I had this game. I've only seen about two (or three at the most) cheaters in game since the beginning of May. You're explanation doesn't really sound like cheating to me, it looks to me like you're getting owned.

You must have watched it more carefully than I and other players on the server.

But wondering how did you notice they were using all kinds of nano abilities all the time? Killcams last about 5 or 6 seconds at best.?

I dunno, I'm using a custom cfg or something, but I can see hackers view in killcam. Really, I watch it carefully, and unless it's true, I dont call anyone a hacker.

Just played at Fragnetics again, don't bother, out of 16 players, there are 6 hackers, 2 in my team(goodie), 4 in the opposite team(aww ****).


Got boned bad, real bad. This is the reason why I stopped playing in the beginning, because of hackers.

Seems they will ruin the experience again.

3000 points is nothing to be worried about. I've gotten over 5000 before in one match, without double xp, and I DO NOT cheat.

I heard it is tag hack which shows whereabouts of enemy team members.

Anyone who know about this issue can confirm if this is simply the killcam bug or the real issue of cheater's wrong doing?

It does that all the time, it's meant to i believe, also kill cam doesn't show holograms.

As per some of the replies, we're always looking for ways to improve our anti-cheat system and this is an on-going process. Next patch will feature further enhancements to the system, just as all previous patches have We're also working closely with RSP servers and doing server-side updates to improve the system.

The votekick system was introduced in the last 1.4 patch and it's lack of success was due to it's difficulty to use for the majority of players. For the next PC patch we've made this system easier by allowing an easy vote process of pressing F1 to participate in the vote.

Regarding mod tools; we've announced mod tools on Crymod last month when Crymod went down for a software upgrade. You can follow modding related information more closely at Crymod. These modding tools will be available soon and of course there will need to be a way to host all the custom content but more on that later

Thanks for taking the time to reply, I'm sure you guys are quite busy now fixing the game... Would it be possible in the upcoming patch to make it more obvious that a vote is in progress? As it currently stands, if you miss the message of a vote on the left hand side, you'd never know a vote was going on. Hopefully you can have a transparent, yet static area or overlay of text along with the F1 to Vote somewhere on the screen when a vote is in progress. Otherwise, it will sadly STILL get missed by the majority of people playing since this game is so fast-paced and intense. I rarely look on the left-hand side unless I do suspect someone of hacking, but again... I may have already missed the message

It would be nice to have a server side check implemented that requests certain client values to compare to known allowed values on the server for each person that is voted upon in case someone really is cheating and the votes aren't coming in.

Keep up the good work, and PLEASE give another option for DLC content purchasing as I'd love to have it, but I'm not willing to put my Credit Card info at risk, there has to be another way such as PayPal or even better to be able to purchase through EA Download Manager since it's already part of the game (the retail game at least).

Lol I was getting over 10k EXP in most games yesterday, 3000 points is easy with this double exp. I havn't ran into a hacker in over a week. Bad luck for you I guess.

I play Crysis 2 MP for 1 month, about 1 hour per day (too much lagg, because of bad CPU, so I really can't enjoy)! And i haven't seen one cheater! LOL? Btw. in the last 2 weeks I don't see threads like "Cheaters!!Aaa", is it only me, or did the number of hackers fall?

well, all i can say is there are many bloody singaporean cheaters

Question: - Why don't you implement Punkbuster? Once implemented (easy patch), cheaters/hackers will be history

Suggestion: - Can you secretly add something which can detect if a person is running around with invisibility, max speed, armor and nanovision and his suit energy doesn't get drained? IMO these people should be insta banned.

I played today and only saw some "boosters" so I recorded them doing their thing and sent it to the to the Crytek team as per the instructions. They were trying to vote-kick me out because I was picking them off when they tried to start boosting again, but they couldn't figure out how to use it!
One player was able to initiate the "kick" but the others couldn't figure out how to vote, even though they were told by the guy who wanted me to leave. It was funny, cause these guys have no idea how to play, when they try to play a game with skilled players, they will loose big time.

I have seen a big decrease in "hackers" though over the last few weeks. I'm sure there are still a bunch out there, but they are getting better at keeping it low profile.

As OP suggested I think it would be super to implement spectater's view in game.

which is basically same as killcam but enables spectater to see exactly same screen the subject player is seeing on screen.
of course, spectater belongs to none of the team, so it can be fair,

it would be great to make 1 or 2 empty slot specifically designed for spectater use
and it also provides interesting view point to watch how good players are playing.


As for PB suggestion, PB service requires payment so it's not likely that crytek's gonna use it.

yeah, they can charge us 10$ for DLC though.
