I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll be careful. Those of you who have done the quest with the Cidnha mine will understand. After having finished the quest, Markath guards will still come to me every time they see me and try to arrest me to put me back in the Cidhna mine, but when I give up, they repeat that I am a traitor and the dialogue options start again. The only solution I've found is resisting, but then all the Markath guards come to me and try to kill me, as well as the Thalmor Justicars. I really need to enter the Markath Palace to finish a Dark Brotherhood quest, but with this guard problem, it's an impossible mission. Does anybody know what to do to fix it? Has anyone experienced the same problem?

ya me to when i enter markath they instantly try and arrest me and when i surrender cause i am trying to remove my bounty and go to jail and 'get it over with' it just goes into a dialogue loop and starts over , obviously since i have killed some guards a bribe is not gonna work so my only real option is to kill all the guards , well just to see if it would change anything i wiped out every single guard in town waited a few days and came back no luck , same problem i consider having to kill every guard every time i come to markath to do a quest a major problem grrrr...

I haven't experienced this, but Christ, that's pretty serious. Good luck. :mellow:

This unfortunately seems to be a common bug

The only sure fire way I know of not getting it is by staying out of the fight at the end of the quest.
Im sorry, but I dont know any other advice than to reload a save from before the fight.

Happened to me when I come the place they first arrested you.

This time I fight and survived, and killed the last witness, each came to nowhere because other guards demanded the "bribe".
I refused, they attacked me, I reloaded the game just after I killed the other guards and the game worked normal again, nobody trying to arrest or kill me.

yeah, in the fight at the end, I killed some guards, I believe that may be the problem. However, I don't have a save from before the fight
It svcks, because I won't be able to finish quests on Markath until a patch fixes it.

Let them arrest you again and go to jail.

I done this too. And they just let me there about 30 secs. (can't even get time to mine the silver inside the prison).
Might work better than the other "sollution".

It could be worse.. Mine locks up the computer and it takes a hard reboot to clear the system. Also some suggestions on how you might fix your issues from someone answering my thread.

this seems to be a workaround although it involves the use of a code and waiting a few days i have not tried it yet

This happened to me, too, on the 360 version. It's like they never leave. Thankfully I did it while the Forsworn were still in Markath, so they took them out for me, and I just dumped the bodies over the waterfall.
