What would you rather have?

Alright, so my TV is zoomed in to the point where I can't see part of my weapons, the text, the compass or anything pretty much on the border in the game. It's annoying but I've slightly gotten used to it. However, I decided to use a HDMI cable to hook up my PS3 to my brother's monitor (Which is HD or LCD or something like that). Anyways, the graphics are better, the words are clearer, I can actually read everything they say in the game; before I could barely read the top texts when I was handed something. I usually had to search my inventory to see what wasn't there before in order to find out what I got, plus I also have a compass in the game now. The bad part is, no sound comes out of the monitor. So, my question to you is what what you pick? No sound but normal visuals in the game or sound but the screen is slightly cut off?

I forgot to add, the screen on the monitor is wider, but the TV is longer vertically.

That's like choosing between a High Elf and a Wood Elf...

At least with normal visuals and no sound you can still play the game, if you use subtitles. I've often had to play games muted when talking to someone on skype, or while listening to music or the radio. It's not a big deal, but not being able to see everything would bother me more by far.
