what mods are you running?

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 7:37 pm

atm im just running a small number of mods.

detailed faces+no bumpy face (or whatever its called)

the mod that unlocks your ram

better night sky

better blood

post process injector (setting 4)

with the ram unlock thing, my comp can run the game ALMOST ultra without issue, if there is a lot of shadows/lighting in one area it can get to probably 16fps. i should probably dial back the water/shadows >.>

i havent touched any gameplay mods as of yet because ive touched so very little of hte gameworld.

Only two:

1. No More Blocky Faces (wanted that since I saw the first screenshot of the normal map artifacts in the faces - still can't believe Bethesda saves their textures always as DXT no matter what, even if it causes such obvious errors and all the work that went into the high poly model normal baking is wasted)

2. Skyrim Compass Tuner (exploring without knowing where to find all locations around you in a radius of half a mile is much more fun)

Other than that I hope the CK will come out asap. There is an influx of crap mods it's unbelievable (but of course I'm not saying that there are only crap mods apart from the 2 I'm using, there are some useful small mods and also a few good texture mods). The endorsemant system on Skyrim Nexus is already completely broken, you will never be able to find great mods by looking at the Top 100 in year or later because the good stuff like large scale quest mods etc will get buried under 4096x4096 replacers for snow flakes with 1284 endorsemants.
