I miss the zooms

Close talkers freak me out.

Every once in a while I encounter a "close talker". I find myself backing away only to find them following me so they can maintain their uncomfortably close distance and so that I can enjoy the full aroma of their halitosis.

That's why I stopped playing Skyrim and went back to Oblivion, a much, much better game.

it was not because of face zoom would you people please read the whole opening post rather than just the title?

On another note, can this be fixed by a mod? the way youd actually have to trigger a conversation and ask for their life story before they blander it to you, i mean the guards are one thing i dont mind em but that guy who says "yknow whats wrong with skyrim these days?" you KNOW that guy and there are many like him, its just more immersive to actually speak to people rather than them just talking out loud to themselves (or supposed to be talking to you but it doesnt feel like it.).. i dont know i just hate clicking E on a npc and not getting a conversation window which i ALWAYS got in Oblivion and Morrowind.

possibly, you know SKYRIM probably is a bit more realistic. in real life, as you board the subway, some people will babble about their favourite character on BIG BROTHER; their opinion on OPEC nations; or their favourite recipe for stewed gerbil before you get a chance to change the track on your IPOD. ;) you dont need to get acknowledgement from someone in order to say something first.

if in SKYRIM, some guy says something you missed, it seems like he'll just say it again later you walk by so perhaps no harm done. :)

. Plus, I bring my face within centimeters of a another person's when talking to them, so I didn't find it too odd...

The current system makes it feel like the world is still moving around you - which it is. Plus, why should an NPC just spill their hearts out to some stranger? For most conversations, the new system feels much more natural. People don't always stare intensely into each other's faces during a casual convo.

So Bethesda, when you walk through a crowded street, does everyone you walk past talk to you?

I don't agree with you about the focus/zoom, but I do get your complaint about the interaction in Skyrim.

I'll walk past someone, they will spit out an "ambient line" and when I initiate conversation with them they will repeat the exact same ambient line.

It also feels like I don't have a choice to accept certain quests. I'll talk to someone, they will tell me their entire life story and problems, and boom, new miscellaneous objective added. So annoying.
