Why can't we smith arrows?

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 3:39 am

You can create armor and weapons, why not arrows?

Arrows would be easy to make.

Maybe... Like. Firewood, which you can get by easily cutting wood, and whatever metal you want the arrow to be.

So...

Iron Ingot, Firewood -> Iron Arrow (10)
Steel Ingot, Firewood -> Steel Arrow (10)
Orichalcum Ingot, Firewood -> Orcish Arrow (10)

Just a thought.

There are mods that enable you to do this.

I am guessing they just forgot or never got round to it? The files actually exist, they just aren't in game.

Because then people wouldn't be as grateful when they include this feature in an upcoming DLC.

It's obvious when you think about it.

If you're on a console, bad luck I guess. I don't know why Bethesda didn't include it, but chances are there was probably a good reason.

Always happy to help. I haven't used the mod myself yet, but it does indeed look good, and there are some others linked at the top of the description you might want to check out.

Totally agree. I know, I know, pc is definately the way to go. But it would still be nice for them to implement this in the console versions. For the love, my hunter cant even make arrows :(.

They had to have some motive on not putting the option to craft arrows in the game. It’s not like they’re expensive anyway, by the time you get to the level where you can buy high end arrows you should have more than enough money to scoop them up when you see them in stores.

It would still be nice to craft ebony or Daedric arrows. I definitely agree with the OP, especially for the console. I have only found 8 Daedric arrows in the game, and those were on a named dragon. Never seen them in stores. And I rarely find ebony arrows either, especially at the rate that I go through them.
