Im a High Elf. I have used Faralda to buy new destruction spells and gear, many times before. I just reached lvl 20, and now when I walk in the dorm, she attacks me on site...no other NPC, just her.
I can even hide in another room and talk with other NPC's calmly, until they flee the fight.....all while Faralda is looking for me.
She WILL kill me if I let her, I had to reload from the saved game a couple times when she 2 shotted me before I knew what her intentions were.
I did recently kill 2 dragons in the college courtyard, and 1 dragon in Winterhold(town). The NPC's outside actaully said something like. "they wouldnt have believed I absorbed the dragons soul if they didnt see it with their own eyes". Other than that, nothing unusual.

Calm spells dont work on her, and I even tried killing her to see if it was another test, but she just respawns in a few seconds and tries to kill me again again, hmmmm....what to do now? Is this a bug perhaps?

maybe you accidentally stole something that belong to her or to the college
or maybe you accidentally struck her during a fight with the dragon

ok, problem solved, kinda...

It turned out that because 2 guards died in the dragon battle in Winderhold, somehow I had the bounty for that (40 bounty in Winterhold)
I guess she is 1 of the NPC's that responds to that, while others dont. I was able to turn myself in to the Jarl in Winterhold to erase the bounty, but I had another NPC as a "follower" that I had told to wait in the hall previosly, and she was stuck in a fight w Faralda, that I couldnt break up. I even tried to fast travel to another city, but she stayed there fighting.

So, I found an old saved game, and just fought that really tough frost dragon again, lol....but this time I lured it over to the college courtyard again, and killed it there, now all seems to be well, no dead guards, no bounty, and I can get my new adept spells from Faralda now, yay!

There are 3 dead dragon skeletons now in the courtyard, lol, looks kinda littered, and they do start wriggling about sometimes, kinda eerie.

Anyway, problem solved, at least I can continue now. :thumbsup:

It is of course your fault if during town defense against a dragon a guard dies. That's what Bethesda calls 'player centric world'.
