Where can I find a Mage hood without an Enchantment?

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 9:49 pm

Ok, basiclaly, it took me forever on the 360 to grind up my Enchanting to 100%. My build is pure mage no armor, and I would like to find a Hood that looks like the mages so that I can enchant it. Does anyone have a clue where I could find a common mage hood without an enchantment!

Thanks in advance!

Also Can anyone list all the clothing shops in Skyrim if you know many, I know of the one in Solitude. That's about it.

thanks again!

Time to time you can find one sold by the college teachers among the usual enchanted hoods. Haven't yet seen a mage hood on sale in any clothing shop, however - there is a "hat" that's actually a mage hood (or very similar) - named just plain "hat", so make sure to scroll everything when at a clothing vendor.

I did find a mages hood with no enchantments on it, it's the kind that looks like sack cloth, where i found it is something else. They do exist, keep looking some corpse will be wearing one.

I find it odd that I can't find a single robe with something else than -magicka cost for specific schools. What happened to fire resist robes and such?

I was attacked by a female thief outside of Ivarstead who had one too.

To The people attacked by thieves what did you do to activate this? Or just happened?

I will definitively check these spots out!

Random event, you can actually save just outside of the area and keep reloading until you get the one you want.... if you know the approximate area that activates it.

@Topic
I've almost never seen them at the college, I think you would have more luck at general stores like Riverwood trader or the one in Markarth...
I actually saw 3 different non-enchanted basic stuff at once in Markarth. Hood, blue robes & brown robes.

The Thalmor generally have unenchanted mages hoods, only their actual robes are enchanted with a 12% Destruction cost.
