Luchaire's HGEC Seam Reducer and bgBalancingEVOptionalSeamRe

Hello, and thank you for clicking the topic. My problem is that I can't get bgBalancingEVOptionalSeamReducerHighElfFix.esp to do what it says it does. If you're here to help me then you already know that Luchaire's HGEC Body Seam Reducer has a side effect of making Altmer faces yellow. Race Balancing Project has a fix called bgBalancingEVOptionalSeamReducerHighElfFix.esp, and it is supposed to fix the Altmer by letting them use Aureal textures. It does not work for me, as all Altmer have pasty body skin and yellow skin on their faces.

What I've done for my HGEC Fighter Body and Luchaire's .egt files install was to combine them into one OMOD and activate it. This should be enough, right? And bgBalancingEVOptionalSeamReducerHighElfFix.esp gets loaded last and the bashed patch has race records updated with bgBalancingEVOptionalSeamReducerHighElfFix checked. Still, Altmer have pasty bodies and yellow heads. The Aureal look like they should. What have I missed?

Hmm. Have you tried not using an OMOD? The seam reducer + bgBalancing's fix work perfectly fine for me, but I installed Luchaire's meshes manually. As for the bashed patch--I actually merged the seam reducer into my bashed patch entirely and then deactivated the esp file. Are you using BOSS's Bash Tag suggestions?

Yes, BOSS says to bash tag BodyM, which is already tagged. This is going to sound really strange, but bear with me: I added the bash tag NoMerge and it removed the yellow face completely. The faces and bodies don't match exactly, but it's far better. But because I am using NoMerge then bgBalancingEVOptionalSeamReducerHighElfFix.esp is not being used as a source file for anything. I have checked Palonirya and the face / body match is close enough. Here is a picture of Eareana:

You can clearly see the difference, that the left side is all my other effort and the right side is with the NoMerge bash tag and bashed patch rebuilt. I realize that this is Eareana in the picture, who is naturally pale, but Palonirya and other Altmer look better.

But I'm not sure this is the right solution, is it?

Does mean the the highelf fix esp is then active in the load order or only that tagged info is being imported (but not merged)?

To be honest, I don't know if any information is being imported, and with NoMerge tagged Eareana looks like the image on the right side of my pic if the .esp is active with a checkmark, active with a plus sign, or if the bashed patch is turned off. If NoMerge is not tagged then it always looks like the one on the left. This means that I have not yet been successful with using bgBalancingEVOptionalSeamReducerHighElfFix.esp. Tyraa Rane, you suggested that I not use an OMOD? I don't see why, since the OMOD is just an archive containing HGEC Fighter and Luchaire's fix, but I will try it.

Major mods that I'm using are OOO 1.33, Race Balancing Project, L.A.M.E., and Integration - The Stranded Light.

So to get the better results the mod is active in your load order yes or no?

I too can tag a mod NoMerge and then I can either import information via other tags (such as Body-F, etc) or I can just activate the esp (again either with tags or not).

Which is it? Did you activate the esp in the conventional sense?

Did you use any other tags?

In Wryebash the mod is not active. It has a dot in the check box and the tags are Body-M, Body-F, NoMerge, and Graphics. With this setup Altmer look like the image on the right.

I should also mention that that is the same way Eareana looks if the .esp is completely unused. If the .esp is activated with a check mark in the box Altmer look like the image on the left.

Used properly the .esp should make Altmer use the Golden Saint textures as seen in this pic

but it's just not working. I don't know what else to do, other than try to copycat the .esp by hand and try that one.
