On a mage, what good would enchanting serve if I can't even enchant robes that I find "in-game" that already have enchants on them?

I don't plan on carrying staves. Or any melee weapon.

Amulets? I really like the amulet "in-game" that reduces shouts down by 20%. I don't want to lose that.

So what does that leave? Boots, Gloves and Rings?
