NPC Animations for the player?

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 11:11 pm

I always enjoy a good sing-a-long at the tavern, but i feel left out when everyone is laughing swingin thier mead and clapping at the end of a great bard performace... and all i can do is stand there with a distant look on my face... do you think it would be such a bother to have an 'Animation' section or something named more appropiatley, where we can select from a number of animations to do such as dance and clap, i dont see this as being too hard to implement since these animations are already implemented for NPC's and it is more than capable to have our characters do animations since we can already do a number of NPC animations, like smithing and alchemy.. what do you think?

This shouldn't be very hard to do, in theory. I heard in one of the Beth videos that the same animation system for NPCs was used also for the PC character. This in order to have improved 3rd person animations. I don't know how they all work under the hood but some experienced modder could have a look at it.

Maybe a slow day on the forums??? idk Fin, but I agree with you. There are other games that implement different "idol" animations. It would be cool to see your character do something like clap to the beat in a tavern or swat at an insect while outside.
