Do you wish the consoles got console commands for this game?

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 6:05 am

I always wanted to use console commands for a Bethesda game. I want to spawn creatures to other creatures. Or spawn a Giant in a town and see what happens.
it would be so awesome.
I wish Skyrim had commands for the 360/PS3. I don't see why they don't have it. There's only one reason that comes to mind: Achievements.
If they were that worried about people "commanding" their way to achievements, couldn't they just lock console commands for the player until they earned a certian amount of achievements?

The PC version has achievements as well. The consoles versions don't have the console because they don't need it.

Using the console commands so much kinda breaks the way you're supposed to play and explore the game... So no.

We don't need it, but wouldn't it be nice to have it? I don't see why we shouldn't.

And the subjects of the mad gods dreams woke and they realized the dream around them. Yet they were unable to achieve CHIM and yet they did not seize to exist or did they? The author and the chosen and the story teller and the bard and the gossip spreader all find themselves unable to shape the world and the stories in the ways they would want but still shape the stories and the dream and the scrolls they can, yet they must abide by the mad god's rules.

I'm sorry if this question is absolutely noobie-n00bish, but with your statement do you mean the PC version "need" it? Why?

Anything that may become a point of failure for console platform IP security would never be allowed on a console.

They're optional. No one is forcing you to use them. If they added commands, I myself would actually add probably another 50 hours to the gameplay just entertaining myself by doing silly things with them, such as spawning creatures to fight a horde of mudcrabs ect.
Plus they rid/avoid of bugs you come across, which is actually important.

People use it to test mods that they've made.

It's also a great way to spawn 10,000 Atronachs and crash the game/console, that's another reason why we don't have it.

I imagine that is a big reason why the consoles don't get one. gamesas doesn't want to deal with the idiot that spawns a ton of crap and RRoDs their 360. Also the console is pretty much only there because PC users test mods with it and since the consoles don't get mods they have no actual use for it.

So, what makes the PC version more entitled to console commands? They already have mods and all.

The only reason I can think the consoles should have console commands is so they can get out of bugs when they run into them/
