Is it possible to get dragonplate armor without having to spend perks in smithing? For example, through a quest or in a chest?

Possible to find it in loot or a store, but extremely unlikely. Heads up, Daedric Armor is better, by the way.

I've gotten a dragonscale shield and daedric armor/weapons from chests before, so I guess it's possible.

It's quiker to smith it, but go right ahead if you want to spend hours trying to find it in a chest.

..Which makes absolutely no sense, actually. Since Smiths don't really have a way to get dragon bone/scales. And any dragon armor from the Dragon War time wouldn't exactly be..high quality.
