I slid into someone and lost all my energy. I know you sometimes get drained when colliding with a teammate, but this was an opponent, and it was from sliding. He didn't shoot me, I just slid into him and bam all my energy is gone

lol its not a bug... if u collide with someone while sliding, u will automatically do a melee kick... so if ur cloaked, ur energy will be drained, as if you did a melee shot while being cloaked...

if u want to see this kick... do a slide and press melee halfway...

haha you cant... u have to kill the person before going in range of the automatic kick (which also stops ur firing, and u cant fire...)...

or... swerve ur mouse so that you slide in a curve away from the enemy...

i learnt this while trying very hard to complete the slide kills assessment... i kept sliding too close, ended up firing for less than a second, and ended up with the kick... (the kick doesnt kill in one hit...) so i became a free frag for my own target

Is the slide kills assessment slide melee kills? Or slide weapon kills?

slide weapon kills... you have to kill a player before the slide animation ends...
i think slide melee counts too... so u have to damage a player enough with ur gun while sliding... so that when the kick happens at the end, its enough to kill the enemy.

best done with feline or scar (because they're light and can slide further... and have lesser recoil)...

and don't start sliding too late, youll need some time to spew out enough bullets during the slide to kill.... if you slide too late... ur slide lasts a short time before colliding into the player...and u don't end up killing the player within the slide
