I've been eyeing farkas and vilkas (and maybe perth) for marriage
and I got to thinking if anyone thinks other npcs might be good options as well.
I see lots of people talking about how there aren't too many attractive female marriable npcs
and I feel the same way about the male counterparts.

since farkas/vilkas are one of the first few marriable npcs a player generally encounters
I was hoping later in the game I might discover many more likable male npcs
but I've been pretty jipped about that aspect of the game. I think I might have to settle for farkas eventually.

post here who you married or plan on marrying and maybe tell me why!

As for myself I don't see the point in marriage. It's so diametrically opposed to me and my character that it'll never happen.

Nevermind the commitment issues. Oh god I can never finish Rune Factory 3...

Haha, my Dunmer Assasin/Thief married Janessa, the Dunmer Mercenary in The Drunken Huntsman, I accidentally made my character about 20 years older than I intended to, so I thought I should get myself someone a little bit older than your avarage attractive Nord woman in her 20s.
Also, Janessa is awesome.

I believe Farkas is also an essential, so if you take him out into the world with you, you don't have to worry about becoming a widow. Nice perk.

but I meant to say that since I found him so early in the game
I thought there would be so many more options later.. but now I'm realizing I'll probably end up picking him or vilkas

If so, go for Farkas. He's way more awesome.

Whats the difference though? I've never really looked at them and they almost seem the same to me in appearance.

EDIT: yes farkas does seem cooler vilkas seems kinda scrawny.

Farkas is the beefy stooge of the two. If you like bumbling muscle, there ya go. If you like the wiry, thinking type, then go with Vilkas.

Mine too :wub: I didn't even know if he was an option for marriage or not, and even if he wouldn't have been I'd still take him along everywhere and just live in sin.
I even finished the Companions quest-line for him, even if if it did mean .
Since he's the strong and silent type the lack of conversation/interaction with followers doesn't bug me that much either, that's just the way he is.

His brother is okay, more intelligent I suppose and a bit more scrawny, but personally I simply like Farkas better.

I would've picked Farkas, but I was (ok, my character was) so upset at the thought of taking him from his friends and brother, that I married my Markarth house carl instead.

My Redguard married Farkas. Really sweet guy, he is.

Farkas is my Family name. It means "Wolf" in Hungarian. I love this game.

What's wrong with him? Admittedly I get confused between him and other loser companion but they are both as bad as each other.
