Alot of questions about Conjuration

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 2:55 pm

Ok , so I just cheapskated my way to 100 Conjuration by soul trapping a dead wolf about 9,000 times

And now I have some questions

1st let me say that I'm roleplaying as a WoW-eqsue Death Knight that means Zombies ,Dremora , and Ice summons are all I'm working with here

Path to Twin Souls : Undead , or Atronarchs? I see there is no Dremora Thrall spell... (Or IS there?) I was thinking of having 1 undead minion and 1 ice atronarch follow me forever

Giving the undead 100 more health seems a little bit perhaps... stupid? Seeing as they will probably never be the enemies target anyway... if they die can't I just ressurect them anyway? So I lean greatly toward having a 50% stronger ice atronarch , and if thats actually very powerful maybe just run around with 2 ice atronarchs

As for the dead Thralls.... does it really matter exactly who you ressurect as your minion? If I go to any random dungeon and raise any random Draugr will that be as strong as if I went out of my way to find some extra powerful Draugr overlord or Daedra of some sort? Does Dead thrall EVEN work on Draugr? Seeing as Skyrim wikia says
Humans, Elves, Orcs, Khajiit, Argonians and weaker Dremoras. More may be possible, but haven't been tested yet.

That doesn't say Draugr anywhere.... so does that even work?

TLDR Summary of questions :

1.Can 1 dead thrall actually be more powerful than another?
2.Does dead thrall even work on draugr?
3.Is there actually a Dremora Thrall/Permanant Dremora that I'm just missing somehow?
4.Atronarchs , or Zombies?

You are right about the polls, by the way. I always visit threads with polls before any other ones.

I liked the original poll question. In fact the only reason I opened this thread was to find out how a poll related to your topic. :P

As for your questions...I can't help. I'd personally go with a frost and storm atronach, but that's because I don't like necromancy.

When a resurrected thing dies, it becomes a pile of ash. The +100 hp could be quite useful.

Also , if you loot check and store a stronger weapon on a dead person and then make them your thrall will they use the stronger weapon you stuck on them?

Poll for answers would suffice but mixed results are confusing... I'd figure out half this stuff myself but I don't have enough mana to even do the stuff... so I'm working on getting my gear improved for it

I think so. I once killed a bandit leader then looted and revived him and he ran across the room to a weapon rack to arm himself. If he already had a good weapon equied he would probably use it. I would take away his [censored] weapons as you put the good ones on him just to make sure he uses the right one though.

I prefer the Dead Thrall since nothing can be half immune to a weapon. If you run into a nord type character, then your frost atronach's are useless. You can get a dremora (I believe) by finding one out in the normal world then using dead Thrall on it. (I have not tested this, but I see no reason for it.) There are two places I know of to try one. You can do Azura's quest or Mehrunes Dagon's Quest. I recommend doing Mehrunes. On which perk to get, this does kind of depend on your style of play. If you back off from an enemy they will attack your summon, or if you use frenzy on them they also will attack the summon. I currently have summoned two dead bandit marauders (strongest I have found so far) one that does just magic, and the other is axe and shield. The mage roflstomps everything but dies easily, while the other is more like a tank. These do not turn into ash once killed, so you can keep resurrecting them. I would personally suggest getting the undead +100 health since it will get twin souls faster, as you can summon a stronger mage than you can a frost or fire atronach. It's really a hard choice to be honest, but I've always been the necromancer role player so wasn't hard for me. I will have to attempt to find a dremora and resurrect him..but since that would be awesome I doubt it's possible.

Edit: I have also observed the mage using intelligence. On dunmer she will not use fire spells, while on everything else she does.

For roleplaying purposes I want my dead thralls to ... actually look the part lol

So yeah , no bandits for me... I'm gonna use it on Dremoras I think
