As the title says,

Got assaulted in silver rush and used my sniper rifle to pick off the attacker. Problem was i missed and shot the Van graff guard and took his head off. Is there anything i can do? i shot him ages ago and now ive picked up Rose of Sharon Cassidy as a companion i cant complete her quest "Heartache by the number".

Had no idea at the time but now its just frustrating. If i walk in the shop i get fired at imediately even if i leave it for a while.

If you can help its appreciated.

Have you left and waited maybe 3 or 4 days max? When people get mad at me I wait a few days before I go back and they seem to have forgotten what I had done to them.

I think so. Think its been a week in the game if not more. I'll try again once i complete the latest task im on but im not sure it'll help much. Think this task will never be completely

Action and consequence: you shot the guard, now they shoot you.

I guess it can serve as a warning to think about what you have done and what repercussions it might have before you continue onward.

Indeed it will. all actions have blah blah blah. I'll just have to be more careful in built up area's. Otherwise ill just pop in, get a few shots off and get the hell out. Maybe see how long i can keep it up for against these guys.

there is a way to complete heartache by the number that involves killing the van graffs anyway.... go in, shoot em up, loot them for good energy weapons and combat armor, and proceed.

Have you tried to use a stealthboy to get in?

I kept stepping in getting a shot or 2 off at the van Graffs and stepping out to recoupe. Eventually picked them all off and now looted and sold so a nice profit at the gun runners. Now to do over Mccatherty.
