Seriously, follower! Get up, damn you!

When your follower is sliding all over the ground, because they can't get back on their feet; they chase after giants and mammoths while they're lying down. But it's not funny when you're battling three giants and two mammoths and your "back" is on his/her back sliding around. I have to keep quitting and restarting from where I left off. I hope this is something the developers take into consideration when that new patch comes out.

They most likely did consider it, but they didn't then you're screwed! They've already uploaded the patch, now they're waiting for it to release. (I think)

The pathing for your "companion" isn't really that good. Many times I go through the wilderness and climb some rocks to get a backdoor entry into an area full of enemies, and here's Lydia runninng all over the place, trying to get somewhere her program tells her that I'm going. There have been times when she did that and she aggro'd the enemy before I was ready. So, now I have to look carefully where to go so she doesn't have to climb over or jump on top of rocks, etc. This is a real pain in dungeons with small paths to walk through that open into large areas - where I might jump on a higher level in the cave to get a sneak bow shot for a one-shot kill.

One time in a dungeon the way out required a jump down from a ledge about 8 feet up. Next thing I know, she's going back the other way. I mean, is it that hard to write a follow-the-leader code.
