I don't care if the Dragon is a respawn or not. If I kill it, I should get a soul from it.

Considering most of the "AWESOME RANDOM DRAGON ENCOUNTERS!" equal a dragon flying circles around your head while you waste arrows and then flying off...

we need every single soul we can get!

So far I've had at least 7 Dragons not give me souls after killing them and I'm tired of it.

The only ones that don't give you a soul after they respawn are the ones at pre-designated spots (IE The dragon perches).

There are plenty of completely random dragons that will ALWAYS give you a soul.

I have gotten a soul from every single dragon I encountered.

I know that some of those dragons were random encounters. So I think you are seeing a bug, and not an intended mechanic.

Ummm I have like 12 spare souls, need more shouts TBH. I have about 6000 pounds of dragon bones too. Plenty of souls, dragons, and bones. You'll encounter a lot more dragons than you will word walls to put it lightly. No big deal if a couple don't drop souls here and there.

I'm ramping up dragon souls faster than I can spend them, currently got 12 in reserve with 5 shouts fully operational and another 9 partially done, need the rest of the words, but I'm just not in a hurry to gather them.

Can you raise dead on a soul-less dragon?

Esbern has a tendency to have you kill those respawning dragons so it's pretty annoying they don't give souls if you choose to find some of those locations through esbern. Also you get bounty quests to kill those as well. So it's pretty annoying and should be fixed.

I have well over 30 shouts... and only 26 unlocked due to the lack of souls.

I haven't been running into many dragons at all TBH. And I run all over the place.

Maybe its because I've been concentrating on side quests (TG, MG and FG done, working on AG now) and dungeon crawling and only just turned in the horn to the Creybeards but ATM there is a serious lack of dragons in my game.

And like I said, I don't care if it is a respawn or not. If it dies it should have a soul. Period.

I have over 25 dragon souls unused right now. With the 20 shout achievment and a lot of them being 3/3 or mostly 2/3.
