Which stone is the best?

I found that the Lovers Stone sped up all abilities..which seemed weird to me. Anyone got some clarification for me?

Thief stone will increase thief skill progression by 20%, lovers is all by 15%. So it depends if you're specialty or not. I personally use the steed stone.

Depends on what you need. I'd say the Lord or the Lady would be pretty useful. Unless you're only looking at those two stones. I would probably go with the Lover.

I use steed since I always seem to be carrying at least 300 worth of random crap.

I'm a Warrior + The Lady here. The Lord is also a nice choice, if you want even more AR plus some nice magickal resistance.

I'm a Mage that uses Atronach.

Magicka regeneration doesn't do much in combat, so the penalty is minimal. In return, you get +50 magicka and 50% Magicka Absorption. If you're playing an Altmer, that's 5 more free levels worth of magicka; if you're playing a Breton, using the daily power makes you immune to all magic attacks for 1 minute.

I used atronarch for non-mage characters. The huge magicka absorbtion makes you really good against mages and since you don't need magicka to begin with, the slower regen won't matter. :)

On my mage (altmer) I use Atronach (I'm also a master in alteration so that's %80 absorbtion right there, plus %30 resistance if a spell actually makes it through)

I think the best would either be Atronach or lord, depending on your character and difficulty settings.

The steed. Especially handy for warriors, because you don't have to spend perk points on the useless perks that come before the level 100 weightless perk (the perks before that are: Less falling damage, more first damage, ect...).

how the hell did you become master in alteration? im master in:

one handed
two handed
destruction
smithing
conjuration
archery
sneak

ive been trying to fiqure out a fast way to get master inb alteration but i cant find a fast way, im like 20 or something in alteration. it took me about 2 or 3 hours each to get master in those other skills. (im lvl63 with gameplay over 70 hours)

That's a really good idea

It's a shame that Steed is so almost-stupidly OP though that I never don't want to use it.

It worked better in older games when the Steed birthsign simply made you run faster. Now since they have everything go at the same speed, they changed it to making you be able to carry more and no longer suffer movement penality with heavy armor.

Sounds not too bad, until you realize it adds almost 100lbs worth of carryweight...then it becomes "must have" :\

Lord.

+1

Lord is the only one that gives you an edge against mages (especially if you're a breton) and helps light armour.

The lover is always a good bet, and so is the Lord. Steed is useful if you are a power gamer. And of course, the Ritual can be a lifesaver in some really tough, big battles. (I guess that's sorta ironic)

Go to market in Riften and cast Detect Life over and over. Standing on a rock or other unreachable place with enemies around and casting the armor spells(higher are better) also works.

I used the Atronarch for a long while, it's useful in open combat as i can pretty easily get magicka back against mage enemies, but now i use the Lovers Stone since i found it.

The Lord stone is the only one that i haven't found so far, so probably i'm gonna use that once i find it.

I'm using the Atronach stone on my lightly armoured shield warrior-assassin-thing. :) Little use for magicka, but the +50% magic resist helps greatly when fighting mages.

So why people love Steed so much? Picking all the junk you see?

There's a perk for no movement penalty.

The Tower stone!? Lol, that UESP is the first time I've heard of that one. How ridiculous. I started off using the Mage stone, then switched to the lover stone. The steed stone does sound ideal.
