Should increasing the difficulty gain you some sort of benef

Currently to my knowledge there is no benefit other then "the challenge" to raise the game's difficulty from Adept to anything harder.

Wouldnt it make more sense if every time you increased the difficulty you gained some sort of bonus either to loot dropped or skill ups received?

The only benefit should be you enjoying it more if you enjoy challenge.

Increased loot and faster skill gain simply don't make any sense. They are counterproductive to the idea that it's supposed to be harder.

Only think I've noticed about turning up the difficulty is that the towns lose important NPCs faster. Other than that I haven't experienced much of a difference.

You gain more experience with higher difficulty because the battles last longer...

The benefit is the increased challenge. It should probably stay that way.

Slightly agree on a % of increased loot based on the difficulty, so that theres a good balance between difficulty and reward. Nothing worse than having a 10 minute fight with a death lord and getting 4 coins out of it in the end, even in some of their chests.

They tried giving more xp in FO3. People hated it with a passion.

There should be some incentive to play on master difficulty. Better loot ala diablo style. A special ending and achievement would be nice too.

Harder difficulty shouldn't be just all enemies having more hit points and hit harder. It should be harder in the sense that strong unique monsters start popping up more (daedra, skeletal dragons, etc), more bandits in a camp, etc.

Excellent...

That would actually make Master difficulty more interesting.

I don't really thik there should be any really benefit because you're doing it to challenge yourself.

You need more powerful gear and spells to take on harder difficulty.
