[HELP] Blurry graphics since patch!

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 8:34 am

So since the patch, I've noticed everything that is against a backdrop that is far away, the edges around the object become really blurry, and a lot of stuff far away is super blurry as well. Here is a screenshot with some examples, thinks in focus are sharp and things far away are really blurry, making the edges really blurry and it really takes away from the realism...

Is this because of the DoF? Someone help me out with this, I need some sort of console command to disable it! Thank you :)

Back in version 1.4, we had a variable called r_MotionBlurMaxViewDist that might have fixed this. It was locked in 1.8, though. They probably broke the variable when they locked it, just like they broke the LOD variables when they were locked in patch 1.4.

if ur using an edited cfg file, try reverting to the default cfg, see if things look better

Forgot to mention, I'm running all Extreme settings, and just tried running without the autoexec.cfg (I put g_skipintro, sys_maxfps, and my FoV commands in system.cfg) and the problem persists... I hope there is a way to fix this as it looks terrible...
