Who's excited about the upcoming patch?

The patch will most likely only fix a handful of the small and bigger problems that are around. Framerate drop is one of those I most of all want fixed. In addition, all things that make you able to break a quest and make it impossible to complete, should be fixed. (see the thieves guild fail thread for an example).

^This. Expect mechanical fixes, not gameplay changes.

Unless you deliberately abuse it, you won't be overpowered. Period.

Going off topic, but that made no sense to me either. There has to be a legitimate reason to tual-wield over something else other than just a different graphic. It also has it's downsides too.

Maybe this patch will be around 2 gb and it will contain the rest of the game in it.

This patch was submitted for certification in less than 10 days after release, this means that the main changes were probably defined before release, so expect only serious bugs and glitches to be fixed.

They could have added stuff that resulted from early feedback but there was only a few days of work so I don't think there's going to be game balancing stuff or any change that would require more testing time.

I don't care about the patch, just release the CS so we can fix things ourselves.

In general I think that Bethesda did a great job patching Fallout 3 and FONV.. most quests did not break and the fixes were sorely needed.

Since Skyrim is a similar game, I am optimistic!

TBH, I don't think so.

There are lots of things left to be patched by the Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch and Unofficial New Vegas Patch.

My only concern is; what will happen to those of us that have a perfectly working game? While this patch may fix things for those of you who are having massive issues with it, I fear that this patch may have an opposite effect for the games that are working fine.

Congrats on being the first fully contented player that at least understands the other side :)

And that being said, I don't think you should worry about that, because I really can't see how applying some re-balancing and overall bug fixes can destroy the core gameplay and goal of the game.
