just wanted to say thanks for the experience

just wanted to say thx for the skyrim experience, ive just completed the main questline (roughly 105 hrs played according to steam) and really enjoyed it. This was my first TES game and after playing this am now wondering just what have i been missing out on, i havnt been so hooked on a game since ff7 and ff8

this would have to be the first game i have put up with all the bugs/crash to desktop/random sound not working purely because i wanted to stay in the world, i honestly felt like i was a hero throughout the entire time i was playing and have never experienced such NPC interaction on the level of this game
Spoiler
when i was doing the companion quest, the funeral for kodlak really struck a cord with me, then finding out he kept a journal about me invoked emotions i have never had for a video game, damn it someone must be cutting up onions!

all in all i guess this is just a thank you for an amazing 105 hrs i would otherwise never experienced in real life

ps, cant wait to play again as a scumbag high elf wtih a god complex <3

Threads like these make my day. It's great to see someone new coming into the TES series, it's a breath of fresh air from all the people who have been playing since older games and constantly complain about how TES is supposedly "dumbing down" their games.

Thank you for posting this, seriously. :celebration:

I am glad you enjoyed and that your first experience was that good. I love Skyrim, it changes up a lot from previous releases. Though it isn't my favorite (Daggerfall is), it certainly has been worth the money so far. Now, if Beth would just get on with releasing the Creation Kit :hehe:

i will say this is probably not the most advanced/challenging/open/free/customizable character development system i have experienced (really enjoyed the freedom/needing to plan/customization of say a baulders gate 2 system) all in all i dont think that it took away from the fact on the whole, this game really felt like i was "living the dream" while playing it. Too often after a solid session playing it i would realise that two days later, i should probably eat and that the reason im so tried/rundown is because i havnt moved for 48 hrs :P

If you finished it, can you verify the existance of Weremen in the game? People keep saying they exist but I for one don't beleive it. Any truth in the rumours? Don't post a spoiler, just DM me the answer! Thanks.
