So my orc battlemage discovered one of the orcish strongholds and I was all exited about meeting more rocs, but they wouldn't let me in!

The were all like 'Oh you are an outsider, our strongholds are only for Orcs!' even though I am an orc!

I mean the big tusks and green skin should give that away right? Are they all nearsighted or is that a bug?

I'd say its a bug - they welcomed my orc in with open arms. I even got to spar with their chief! Just hope I didn't emorcsulate (hehe) him too much.

There is a serious problem with NPCs not recognizing members of their own race in this game. None of the Dunmer in Windhelm recognize me as one of them, and on a former Nord character it drove me nuts that Galmar kept calling me "Unblooded".

Un-blooded doesnt mean "not of the same blood".It means un-bloodied in battle. He was basically calling you a noob.

Honestly, it sounds like a bug. I have an Orc at the moment as well and when I stumbled upon the stronghold south of Windhelm (I think) they greeted me with open arms and let me mine their resources without a second thought.
