so, i put a total of 36,000 gold into the damn solitude home, and it turns out, the windhelm home is sooo much better AND 10,000 gold less. now i'm poor and awaiting a spare 25,000 or so. :banghead:

Well, the good side is that you need to buy that house (and only that one) if you plan to do the strange jewels side quest

What? The solitude home is easily the largest house you can buy. (The one you get for free on "that daedric quest" is close though.)

Well if you max Alchemy to 100, you will have so many potions to sell, there's not enough septims in circulation to sell them all.
