I can't believe this. Here I thought Bethesda was doing the little things right. Then I put books on an empty bookshelf, and it says I can't put no more because it's full. So I exit out of the screen, and only the top shelf is full while the bottom shelf is empty. Huh? Why put in 2 shelves when only one can be used?

Yeah I am nit picking, but then agian, it is the little things that count. This almost reminds me of the Civ V rivers on how ugly they look. How the heck did it get through? Who made the decisions of having a 2 shelf book shelf with only letting one shelf get full? :whistling:

Click on the bottom shelf.

You fill each one individually with 18 books at the max.

Thanks for letting me know. I am glad I made this post. Even though I look foolish, at least I lernt something new.

Some of the bookshelves have three levels and you can only put books on 2 of the levels. Very ... annoying.

This. Plus, I like that you can pick up items and set them on shelves without having to add them to your inventory.

Really? Every bookshelf in every house I've encountered has all the shelves as usable. Maybe you need to crouch and make sure your cursor is on the empty shelf.
