So now that we experienced Skyrim what's your favorite Elder

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 6:02 am

I voted Skyrim, just because it's new and refreshing. I can change my mind later if I don't get the many hours like I did with all the other TES games. I love Daggerfall and Morrowind more than Oblivion, and most likey like it more than Skryim, but guess just having something new, Skyrim edges them out for me, well, for now.

Arena, Daggerfall, AND Oblivion...? Better than Skyrim...?

Either you are some PC Extremist (Above Elitism) who is ULTRA butthurt with the direction Bethesda took with Skyrim, or you're trolling. I'll go with trolling until I hear a response.

Personally I put Daggerfall and Arena above Skyrim, not being extremist or elitist, and I am also no butt hurt over the direction that Bethesda took. But apparently you are an opinion extremist and think that only your opinion can be valid.

1-Daggerfall
2-Arena
3-Skyrim

These 3 are very very close, practically kissing each other in a 3 way

4-Morrowind
5-Battlespire
6-Oblivion
7-Redgaurd

Morrowind! Epic characters (Gentleman Jim Stacey, Eno Hlaalu, Orvan Dren, the guy in Tel Fyr, Telvanni wizards, Duke Vedam Dren, Lord Vivec, and so on, and so on...), long (!) guild storylines, large variety of factions (Fighters, Mages, Thieves, Temple, Morag Tong, noble Houses, Legion etc, etc), decent main story, for that time beautiful elaborate surroundings and a very appealing variation in these surroundings (from the Ascadian Isles to the Grasslands, from the northern islands of Sheogorath to the ashlands surrounding Red Mountain). Beside that the three main political houses (Hlaalu, Redoran and Telvanni) constantly competing, the option to BUILD YOUR OWN FORT / TOWN and of course Keening and Sunder (my dears!). :) But the Morag Tong were the best, they would - for that matter - own the Dark Brotherhood anytime. ;)

Morrowind is my favorite closely followed by Oblivion - my whole opinion is based on the CS and
Skyrim hasn't got an editor -yet so no comments as to favorites possible

i started with morrowind never even beat the story i just explored lol..but i love skyrim but i liked oblivion better because story wise i wish skyrims main story was longer and more in depth i can beat skyrim story mode in a couple of hours and oblvion it had a long story and was in depth(besides those damn gates) also guild missions are real short in skyrim i beat them quick(yes i know theres radiant quests)

Do you see how I made winning by so much in bold? Because I knew somebody like you would mistake me for saying Morrowind would be in the lead. No. That's not what I meant at all.

I was simply implying most of the voters are new to the series and haven't even played Morrowind - Arena. In reality they are comparing Skyrim to Oblivion.

Somebody like me?

Well, I apologize if you took offense -- it wasn't my intention. :( Text isn't exactly the best way to convey emotional context, I'll admit.

I agree that many players new to the series won't know what they are missing, but to assume that the high number of votes is because not everyone has played all of the games isn't fair to the poll either. Like I said, the only way to know for sure would be to have everyone who played all five titles vote for their favorite. :foodndrink:
