I got all the furnishings in my Whiterun home, And stocked all the shelves. A couple of game plays later I started from a save file in my home. As soon as it loaded, all of my stuff fell to the floor. All my furnishings were gone, but my items were still there. As I panicked I reloaded the same save file, without seeing if I could re-buy my furnishings. But thankfully this time everything was back in order.
