Human Hearts

Something has been puzzling me: why doesn't every person I kill have a heart?

It's hard to eat their heart to gain their courage when it isn't even there.

I found something awesome, regarding hearts: You can pickpocket a Forsworn Briarheart's Briarheart, and it kills them instantly.

Because if they had a heart, they would also need kidneys, liver etc, same for animals. You can see where this is going.

It's just random drops, saves getting too many of something, random drops although not realistic keeps it a bit more interesting.

Except I don't think those things are used in Alchemy; the heart is a specific ingredient. Besides, what's not interesting about devouring the heart of your fallen foe?

Hmm. I should make a mod for this when the CS comes out.
