Wild Card: Side Bets- can one "un-ignore" a tribe?

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 7:53 pm

I've made a couple of mistakes in my dialogue with Yes Man by asking him to "ignore" the Boomers and BoS. The Wiki said that I should still be able to get dialogue options for reporting to Yes Man about these tribes, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Is there a console command to undo those particular choices?

well, you can go to the boomers and get their support, then you can talk to Yes Man and say they've vowed to support you. The BoS part is a bit more complicated, they can still be of use for you however. You have to proceed far enough in ''For the Republic, part II'' quest (that's right, the NCR quest line). Eventually you can get the BoS to ally with the NCR. This is very useful, because for the biggest part of the final mission at Hoover Dam, you're basically the NCR's friend, and the BoS helps defeat the Legion. When you've forged an alliance between the NCR and the BoS, this can be reported to Yes Man (and you''un-ignore'' them).

But that's the problem: I already HAVE gotten the Boomers' support, I've already told NCR ambassador about it, completed For the Republic part I and received instructions to proceed to Hoover Dam. And I am UNABLE to tell Yes Man about it, presumably because I have accidentally told him to ignore the Boomers. They didn't get un-ignored, apparently. That's the issue I'm trying to solve.

*scratches head* that's odd.

try console commands, but be sure to make a save before you do it!

to reset the quest:

resetquest 00157322

to trigger the quest:

setstage 00157322 1 OR setstage 00157322 0 (I'm not sure which one triggers the quest)

If I reset the quest, does it mean I need to just go to the Boomers and talk to Pearl again, or does it mean I will need to re-do the Omertas, Ultra-Luxe etc. parts?

no, it only resets the Yes Man quest: The way you ended the Boomers, Great Kahns, BoS, White Glove and Omerta quests are still saved and you can simply report them when you trigger Side Bets

I've just tried the resetquest one: it gave me the option to tell about the Boomers... but then it just told me I completed the quest, despite the fact that I have NOT yet done the Great Khans and the Brotherhood parts; I did tell him to ignore the Brotherhood but not the Khans.

I'm guessing I need to "reset" ALL five tribes. Now, I realize I'm asking for a lot, but I don't know where to find the codes, so could you...?

I'd try to trigger the quests using the commands I posted earlier, unless you've already done that...

I've tested all three options- just resetquest, setstage 1 and setstage 0. It unlocks the dialogues for all five, BUT as soon as I tell Yes Man about having secured ONE of them, no matter which one, the quest becomes accomplished.

IEdit- I was aiming for a Yes Man victory in this playthrough; would be a pity if I had to switch to NCR or House because of this.
