First I want to say I have no research or evidence of anything on a Crysis 3, I'm not even sure if production has even begun or even will begin. This is what I feel like Crysis 3 should be and deserves to be. I think as the current consoles begin to age it would only be appropriate for a triple A, graphics powerhouse like Crysis to be delivered on the next gen consoles. It's the way it should be, Crysis 2 was an amazing looking game on the current consoles. Yet when compared with the PC version, it doesn't stand a chance, mostly from having to lock the frame rate on the consoles at 30 frames per second.

I think Crysis 3 should be a Next Gen console early or launch title.

I have heard rumors however about the possibility of Crysis becoming a Microsoft exclusive (Possibility of going to PC of course too). With Crytek's current work on Ryse the Kinect based warrior first person clubber? It's possible Crysis 3 could only make it to the Microsoft console. Long ago talks between Microsoft and Crytek began to bring Crysis to their exclusive, the deal fell through for whatever reason, and Microsoft went with Bungie and created Halo.

So what do you think? Will we see Crysis 3 on the next gen platform? Will we see it sooner? Or with the lack of commercial success of Crysis 2 is this the end of Crysis?


In my opinion I feel that if Crysis 3 is a launch title for Next Gen consoles it will superseed a lack of Marketing and be a huge commercial success, as well as critically successful as we have come to expect from a Crytek title. (Think about all the other games that come out around a consoles launch. Crysis 3 would easily be the top 1 or 2 on any hardcoe gamers list)

I think that Crytek is going to wait until next gen consoles, and then launch Crysis 3
