When Patch 1.9 comes Don't Whine.

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 8:17 am

Ok, I'm guessing here; but when patch 1.9, Dx11, and Hi Res are released, there will be a few people that will be suprised by the impact.

Recently, I installed two, QUAD SLI, EVGA GTX 590. I ran 3dMark 11 which included tessellation. Oh yes. DX11 is gonna task some systems. In one 3dMark 11 test (i'll have to run it again to get the name) my frame rate bounced around 10-15 fps. Yes, these test are probably not what we will see in Crysis 2 with patch 1.9, but I'm just saying keep the whining to a minimum and dont faint. lol Be careful what you ask for.

Crysis 1 is an amazing game. But it was beyond many PC systems because it was computationally intensive. This is one of the reasons that made Crysis 1 so attractive.

No doubt Crysis 2 will run fine at current settings on a broad range of systems, see link for your PC rig. With the "Patch", the wonders of tessellation etc, immersion gaming, may not be compatible with your card, or may push your rig. Nonetheless, present settings should still be a standard to keep you pawning.

Looking forward to seeing your dimples next week.

So...quadl sli = 10-15FPS in DX11? Damn, my 5850+5870 will probably NOT cut it i assume.

How can you compare a game to a benchmark program? In 3d mark 11 if you have it on MAX settings its tessilating the ENTIRE scenario which is VERY unrealistic in terms of video games. I can MAX out Metro 2033 and still get above 60FPS. Aslo, im sorry you got a 590, maybe one day Nvidia wont **** up the VRMs.

As far as I know, one can't SLI two different graphic cards?

Your correct. Realistically can't compare the two. Thot I said that in the post. These test are not what you will find in the game-reiterated. Although, in the day, Crysis 1 probably could have been used as a benchmark. lol.

"Call a foul", calling a foul communicates intensity and gravity. My 590's grrrr. If peeps think EA might have done better with C2, well lets just say can't really compare EA to nVidia, *cough. nVidia might have done better with certain components, which will go untouched just now. (foulishly foul.) ;d

But really, my 590s are running great. Check out my rig in the link if you wanna see, or not.

I just like giving needless crap to 590 owners. Although i am a 6990 owner i am a HUGE fan of PhysX, its just that i am also an overclocker of video cards, and with the amazingly cheap VRMs on the 590 and the majority of reviewers having there cards blow up with even minute OCs, it just didnt blow enough air up my skirt. My 6990 is under liquid and can hit 1ghz core and 1400mem no problem. I just want to see Crysis 2 bring my computer to my knees like Crysis 1 did back when i had dual GTX 8800 black pearls!

Hahahah,

Like creating a community. I like that moto in Cry-Adam posts = Team Crysis ( or something).

First Crysis, unlike the hint in the name, is not about crying; sometimes a mistake.

I think forums like these might have been intended to create a team, an extended team. Sure, some wish to cultivate the market base, but we "make a game great". Word of mouth, duration of play, willingness to invest time and money, all impart a gaming "assembly" with something, the vestment of community.

We, the buyer and gamers, made CSS great, and COD too. It is up to us, whether Crysis 2 will find a place in the pavillion of great titles.

Or I could be wrong; lol

Your eyes are open (monastic chants in background). I remember it was the thing to just get Cry1 to run decently on a rig, no glitches there. It was shear computation challenge. But the beauty of that game running on high, is still unmatched. Perhaps on Monday a new standard will exist.

OOO black pearls, you still got those?

So on Monday peeps, be strong.
