Damn you modders!

Coming from the land of having to actually get off the couch to change the channel on the TV, and arcade games like asteroids, and defender I turned away from all video games for a great portion of my life. Due to an injury that put me on my butt for about 4 months a good friend of mine bought me Morrowind for my laptop to stay occupied.
Long story short I got addicted to the freedom of the gameplay the likes of which I had never experienced before. Oblivion was no different, and as the modding community grew so did my load order as well as my own skills in creating items for me to have fun with, and share.
I have many games on my computer but none take my breath away like a modded Oblivion. The improved textures (on everything), the modder created armor, weapons, the modder created quests, and of course FCOM.
To this day Oblivion is the only game I can load up just to revel in the scenery, and feel my heart pound at the heat of epic battles.
Being one to look at the bright side of things I am pleased with the way life's web was spun for me. That one mishap brought me countless hours of enjoyment, and spread to me sharing my creations with all of you.
Funny twists of fate that brought me to this community, and a game that I truly enjoy.

I will get back to Oblivion once a few mods I'm waiting for get done. (which could be awhile) For now though I started Baldur's Gate Triliogy with a few hundred mods and Morrowind with over 400 mods to play. Morrowind looks great with all the texture/model replacers and MGE with shaders along with all of the great mods that have come out in the years that I have been away from the game. For Baldur's Gate it is going to be interesting to play all of the mods I have installed and also to continue directly into Baldur's Gate 2.

PS. I tried getting into Fallout 3 with mods but there are not enough good mods to keep me interested in it for now.

PPS. It is true that currently Morrowind looks better then Oblivion.

Wonderfully said, Nico. :)

I, too, sometimes just open up the game to find one of my favorite nature spots and simply enjoy the atmosphere. It's the only game I've ever actually had the desire to explore every corner of. Oblivion's like it's own beautiful and free little world.

It's been great talking to you guys over the years and using your wonderful creations in my game. :foodndrink:
