Am I sick?

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 2:23 pm

Most of the random remarks I get from NPC's that I walk past are of the essence that I have fallen ill. Wearing a necklace of disease immunity will eliminate any such remarks. But of course I will not fill my necklace slot with a disease immunity.

1. could this reduce my fighting capacity?
2. Can this be solved permanently without wearing an item?
3. Is anyone else having this problem?

Check your magic and active effects. It will tell you if you are sick or not. If so, see a shrine or drink a potion.

1. Yes.
2. Yes. Take a potion, or go to a shrine.
3. Yes, but it's easy to check and then remove. Under your magic spells/powers/shouts, there's an "Active Effects" section. If you're sick, it'll show up there.

Check your magic page, scroll down to active effects - that will tell you if you have a disease.

You can get diseases cured by either drinking a potion of cure disease, or activating a shrine in a temple

Edit - ninja'd not just once, I must have typed that really slow!

You can tell from your active effects. The effect is displayed in red and will tell you what disease you have and what the effect is. I get diseased a lot and sometimes don't even notice until someone tells me I don't look so good. Make sure to carry some potions with you.

Use an Altar of one of the divines, like Talos in whiterun and your diseases will be cured and will no longer get that annoying ''you look like [censored] bro, you should get some rest'' dialogue

....until you contract another disease of course.

BTW, im not sure of what your asking but im pretty tired, cant think straight, tipsy and i assumed you were asking how to get rid of a disease without a ring and such...

Or getting deep enough in the Companions quest line...

Being Poison also gets this reaction and that is not a disease. Plus, if you get a disease, then put the necklace on, you still have the disease.
